The Guerilla Arts Program has a three tiered program that includes H.E.L.P (the Hip Hop Education Literacy Program), a Rites of Passage Campaign, and a Parental Involvement Campaign.
My goal is to create a video campaign around the Parental Involvement initiative, in the hopes of capturing candid and fun moments between students and their parents. During one of Gabe’s H.E.L.P. session, I wanted to get a sense of who is the most important person in each of the student’s lives.
Only three wanted to answer the questions – especially when it meant talking in a recorded, and having their picture taken. However, Shakia, Tayana, and Taria agreed to share a little bit about themselves.
